One of the perks of living in Central Florida is the doable-day-trip proximity of so many fun things to do. About an hour away from my house is one of these great options, the
Harry P Leu Gardens in Orlando, Florida. I got to visit for the first time not too long ago and I was super surprised to find this 50 acre garden oasis right in the heart of Orlando.

Leu Gardens include a visitor center and gift shop, The Leu House Museum, Art at Leu Gardens (sculptures throughout the Gardens), a gazebo, a graveyard, a cottage, and, of course, acres of gardens, including citrus, herbs, roses, bamboo, oak trees, magnolias, and lots of lots of camellias.

Leu Gardens is only $10 for adults, $3 for kids in Grades K- 12, and free for children 4 and younger. It's a great affordable day activity to get outside and walk, enjoy nature, and take a break from the frantic pace of Orlando.
